Class of 2012 explores the culture of Millennial youth from the perspective of an insider. The images show young people doing everyday things, captured unobtrusively to show their activities as accurately as possible. They show the energy of living this experience, and evoke within the viewer the feeling of being present in the captured moment.
This diaristic collection spans from 2009 to 2016. Though these are personal moments, they are representative of the experience of an entire subset of the population. These images show kids and young adults simply living, doing the things they do, enjoying life as best they can. These moments transcend generations, yet are distinctly Millennial. The inherent casual playfulness of my generation shines through, even in situations our grandparents could have experienced.
